When   the   sun   is   blazing   and   it’s   hot   and humid,     there’s     nothing     better     than plunging   into   cool   clear   mountain   spring water      and      exploring      a      stunningly beautiful   gorge!   Our   gorge   walk   is   a   bit like      canyoning      but      for      the      less adventurous     you     can     enjoy     the     trip without    having    to    leap    from    rocks    or climb    around    in    waterfalls.    If    however you   are   a   more   adventurous   type   there is    planty    of    adrenaline    in    store.    jump from     rocks,     scramble     around     in     a waterfall,    slide    down    rock    shutes    and genrally    goon    around    to    your    hearts content.   End   you   tour   with   an   optional climb   up   a   knotted   rope   and   leap   4½m from    the    top    of    a    rock    into    the    gorge below! There   are   plenty   of   less   ambitious fun spots on the way! Meanwhile   don’t   forget   to   look   up   and about.   The   gorge   is   over   90m   deep   and the   rocks   have   been   eroded   into   a   series   of   bone   like   structures.   Up   above   the   colours   of   the   sky   over   the   walls   of   the   gorge   and   the plants   clinging   to   the   walls   are   stunning.   Keep   an   eye   out   for   freshwater   crabs   in   nooks   and   crannies   in   the   gorge   and   eagles, buzzards and other birds of prey circling above. Welcome   to   Göynuk   Kanyon   a   stunningly   beautiful   place   and   an   adveture   park   within   the   Beydağlı   National   Park.   After   our   gorge walk we will have a freshly cooked lunch by the lake at the base of the gorge. After   lunch   those   that   want   to   will   get   the   chance   to   do   some   zip   wiring   over   the   lake.   There   are   three   routes,   the   first   is   a   steady 90m   route   just   to   get   you   used   to   the   zip   wires. After   that   the   routes   go   from   one   end   of   the   lake   to   the   other   250m. The   final   route   is reached   by   crossing   a   rope   bridge   before   the   fastest   route   180m   to   the   far   end   of   the   lake.   Some   of   the   most   scenically   stunning   zip wires anywhere! On   arrival   at   the   entrance   to   the   national   park   a   jeep   transfer   to   the   head   of   the   gorge   is   provided   when   the   weather   is   too   hot.   The walk to the gorge is 1½km uphill. After the gorge walk we walk down to the lake at the base of the gorge. The   transfer   to   Göynuk   Kanyon   is   60mins   each   way.   Lunch   is   included.   Wet   suits   (when   the   water   is   really   cold   in   the   gorge)   and safety   equipment   are   provided   for   both   the   gorge   walking   and   the   zip   wires.   Wet   shoes   are   also   provided   for   the   gorge   walk.   There are small lock-up boxes at the entry to the gorge for valuables. Videos and photo CD’s are available as extras. THINGS TO REMEMBER Walking shoes for the walk up to or down from the gorge. Camera Sun Cream Sun Hat Swimming gear Small amount of money for drinks, ice creams etc. Drinking water for the initial journey will be provided
